Greetings, fellow ocean enthusiasts!

My name is Henry Belfiori, and I am thrilled to embark on this exciting journey with you as we dive into the world of ocean technology and conservation. If you are a young (or old) professional seeking to make a tangible difference, generate wealth, and create a positive impact on the environment and society, then OceanTech Insider is the perfect place for you.

Ever since I first experienced the enchanting underwater world as a 13-year-old, my love for the ocean has only deepened. Becoming a divemaster has allowed me to witness first-hand the beauty and fragility of our marine ecosystems. However, like many of you, I have found myself questioning the conventional path of a typical office job, yearning for something more impactful and meaningful. With the emergence of AI tools, I have been motivated to create this blog and network for like-minded individuals. I have previous experience working in Impact reporting/measurement, experience in venture capital (specifically in the blue economy and OceanTech), a MSc in Sustainable Resource Economics from UCL and currently work in grant funding/social investments.

The Quest for Impactful Work: I believe that the 21st century offers incredible opportunities to merge our passion for the ocean with work that creates a lasting positive impact. At OceanTech Insider, we explore how different technologies can tackle the problems caused by our polluting economic systems. From advanced robotics to data analytics and renewable energy solutions, these technologies hold the key to mitigating the challenges our oceans face.
